Hayward Reynolds was an attorney and professor of law at ONU
Hayward D. Reynolds, 89, died on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at 5:40 p.m. at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1930, in Hammond, Indiana, to the late Raymon and Gladys (Dixon) Reynolds. On Sept. 18, 1954 Hayward married Gay Marie Seme and she preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2004.
Hayward was an attorney and a Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University, Capital University and the University of South Florida. He received his Bachelor and Juris Doctorate from Indiana University. He was a prolific reader. Hayward was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana Hoosier basketball fan.
Hayward is survived by his four children: Craig (Sheri) Reynolds of Westerville, Cort Reynolds of Ada, Colin Reynolds of Ada and Cristyn Reynolds of Ada; and four grandchildren Natalie, Nichole, Alison and Carly.
There will be no visitation or services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
