Julia A. Allen, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 9:50 a.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born on Feb. 7, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late John P. and Margaret (Ritter) Mangin.  On May 17, 1952, Julia married Robert L. Allen, Jr.  and he preceded her in death on Aug.15, 2000.

Julia was a homemaker. She was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Ada. 

She is survived by three sons: Robert (Janis) Allen, III of Ada, Mark (Laura) Allen of Caledonia, Mich., and David (Reba) Allen of Ada; two daughters: Ann (George) Thieman of Findlay and Amy (Neal) Dumbaugh of Ada; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her brother, John Mangin and sister, Mary Walsh.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, private family services are being held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with  Rev. Fr. William J. Ferguson officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.  A memorial mass will take place at a later date at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada.
