Here comes the parade!
It’s possible that the encore was even better than the first time around.
A National Nursing Home Week parade through Vancrest was a big hit in May. The 50+vehicle parade allowed residents to get outside for the first in week and enjoy a parade just for them.
That wasn’t enough for the resident or those paraders. On Wednesday A Red, White and Drive Through parade entertained residents once again.
This parade included several horses in addition to all those 4-wheel vehicles. And, with over 50 participants, it was a 20-minute-and-longer affair.
Participants of all ages created signs, decorated vehicles in red, white and blue, honked and waved as residents watched from front-row seats.
Here are some views of the parade.
