Hardin United Way radio day auction generates over $10,000
The United Way of Hardin County held irs first Radio Day Auction Aug. 15. The auction was streamed online and also on 95.3 WKTN.
The goal was to raise $10,000 for the United Way of Hardin County. Prizes in value of over $8,600 were donated for the auction. A final total of auction bids and cash donations show that $10,044 were raised for the United Way.
Executive Director Michele Daniels said, “Thank you to WKTN for hosting and providing air time, all the wonderful United Way volunteers, and of course to you Hardin county residents and businesses who donated items and or cash, the all-day sponsors, and those who listened and bid on items. By doing all that, you invested into your community through helping fund our 21 Partner Agencies.”
Plans for the second Radio Day auction are underway and more details will be provided when they become available.
