VB team loses a tough 4-setter match

BELLEFONTAINE - The Ada volleyball team lost a tough four-setter at non-league foe Ben Logan Monday evening.
The 25-13, 24-26, 25-22, 25-23 defeat to the Lady Raiders lowered the Lady Bulldog record to 2-2 this season.
Senior Miranda Wills topped Ada with 22 digs, seven kills and two blocks. Classmate Megan Light hammered a team-high 12 kills, came up with 14 digs, made three blocks and served one ace.
Versatile junior Kirsten Poling passed out 22 assists, made two blocks, hit six kills, came up with 11 digs and served an ace.
Senior Kylie Acheson mustered up 16 digs, while sophomore Courtney Sumner hustled up 13 digs, knocked down four kills and dealt one ace.
The Bulldog reserve and freshmen teams each lost in straight sets, 2-0.
Ada looks to stop its two-match losing skid when they host former league foe Perry Tuesday, September 1.
