Bulldogs CC runs at Bath

LIMA - The Ada cross country teams competed at the Bath Invitational Tuesday.
"We had a great night," said Bulldog head coach Josh Klein. "Both girls ran under 30 minutes again."
Bulldog freshman Melia Santillanez ran a personal-best time of 29:24 to finish 57th out of 63 female runners in the meet. Classmate Elsie Allen came home at 29:39, good for 58th place.
Junior Riley Ferguson paced the Bulldog boys with a time of 21:27 to cross the finish line 58th out of 115 runners.
Sophomore Robby Waters finished the 3.1-mile course in 22:35 to come in 67th. Classmate Connor Daugherty ran a season-best 22:59 and ended up 74th.
Senior Cole Anspaugh ran his personal-best time of 23:48 to finish 86th.
Shawnee won the boys 12-team title with 38 points. Wapakoneta was second with 79 points, followed by Elida (111), Kenton (116), Lima Senior (182), Waynesfield-Goshen (186), Bath and Allen East (188 apiece), USV (191), Ottoville (254), North Baltimore (269) and LCC (317).
Brady Yingst of Perry won the boys individual race in a time of 16:25.83.
Shawnee also won the six-team girls title with 33 points. Kenton was second (47), followed by Waynesfield (82), Wapakoneta and Spencerville (112 each) and Lima Senior (141).
Taylor Spencer of Waynesfield won the girls race in 18:48.8.
"I'm proud of their hard work," said Klein. "We looked our strongest tonight, and I am hopeful to see some more personal-best records across the board this weekend at Kalida."
The next Bulldog meet is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at the Kalida Invitational. The Kenton Invite is Oct. 8.
