Dr. Mark Shull was an Ada dentist for over 50 years
Mark B. Shull, DDS, 88, was called home to heaven on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, while he was at Otterbein Skilled Nursing in Cridersville, Ohio.
Mark lived in Ada, Ohio for 56 years. He was born on Oct. 31, 1932, in Hicksville, Ohio, to the late Mark Benner and Ruth R. (Hurni) Shull. His stepfather, George Hart, also precedes him in death. On Aug. 28, 1955 Mark married Julia J. Fritz and she preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 2016.
Mark was a dentist in Ada, as well as a dentist in the United States Army. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lima and the Ada Kiwanis Club.
Mark received his degree in dentistry from The Ohio State University and his bachelor degree from Capital University. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, bowling, taking long walks, and pontificating about the virtues of hard work.
Mark has three daughters: Lorraine (Don) Flick of Bowling Green, Sheri (Bob) Worrall of Columbus and Stephanie Shull of Columbus; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mark’s sisters Carol Dyer Callaghan and Betty Swift preceded him in death.
No visitation is planned. Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1300 Edgewood Drive, Lima, Ohio and/or the Ada Kiwanis Club.
