Ada grapplers compete at Crestview

CONVOY - The Ada varsity wrestling team competed Saturday at a quadrangular meet hosted by Crestview.
Since the Bulldogs combined with Antwerp to fill more weight classes and streamline the event, no team scores were kept.
Ada individual results by weight class:
113 lbs. Clayton McClain was 3-0 with a pin, a forfeit victory and a decision victory.
120 lbs. Colton Biederman was 2-1 with a pin and a forfeit win; his loss was in one weight class up.
160 lbs. Cameron Bober was 1-2 with a pin.
170 lbs. Kyle Mattson was 1-2 with a pin.
220 lbs. Johnny McClain was 1-2 with a pin.
285 lbs. Brandon Paul was 0-2.
The Bulldog junior high wrestlers competed at the Mohawk Little Warrior Invitational last Friday night.
Ada results by eight class:
98 lbs. Liam Viera went 0-2.
116 lbs. Aedyn Beckwith went 2-0 with 2 major decisions.
122 lbs. Marley Bulerin went 0-3.
128 lbs. Eli Esguerra went 3-0 with two tech falls and major decision victory.
150 lbs. Josh Arnett went 3-0 with 3 pins.
The Ada varsity matmen are back in action Saturday morning, January 16 at the McCumber-Murphy Invitational hosted by Rossford.
Teams from Fremont, Gibsonburg, Findlay, Sylvania Southview, Bowling Green and Rossford are also slated to participate.
