Helen "Peg" Gerbrecht was a life-long Ada resident
Helen E. “Peg” Gerbrecht, 84, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at 8:20 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
Peg was born on Jan. 21, 1936, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Paul and Kathryn (Doersam) Smith. Peg was previously married to Richard Woolcutt and he preceded her in death. On July 24, 2007 Peg married Dennis W. Garbrecht and he survives in Ada.
She was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren, Harrod. Peg loved her family especially her daughter and grandchildren.
Peg is also survived by her daughter, Peggy Lee Woolcut-Brown of Dunkirk; three grandchildren: Lorene Murray, Jolene Brown and Mirissa Brown; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Betty Lou Fisher of Lima.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada, with Pastor Chris Ewing and Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating. The funeral service for Peg will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
