Terry Masi 1954 - 2021
Terry L. Masi, 66, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at 12:55 p.m. at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital, Marion.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1954, in Hardin County, Ohio, to the late Tracy and Edythe (Dotson) Prater. Terry married the love of her life and lifelong companion James Masi on February 16, 1980. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2019.
Terry worked as a correction officer at the Ohio Reformatory for Women at Marysville, Ohio. She was a member of the Ohio Military Reserves.
She is survived by a son, Raymond J. Driesbaugh of Kenton; a daughter, Shannette V. Teneyck of Kenton; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers: Eldon Prater of Mt. Victory, Ted Prater of Tennessee and her twin, Jerry (Joyce) Prater of Kenton; three sisters: Lois (Kenneth) Fetherolf of Hilliard, a sister of Marysville, and Jane Denise (Frank) Sanborn of Woodstock; sister-in-law, Susan Masi of Kenton .
She was preceded in death by three brothers: James Dennis, Wayne and Wilmer Prater; and a sister, Shirley Jean Prater.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the charity of the donor’s choice.
