Meri Skilliter, Ada school superintendent, updated the community following the first full week of classes in 2021. Here is a portion of that message from the school webisite follows:

We made it through our first regular week of classes with almost all of our staff and students in the building.

We would like to continue this model for the rest of the year. In order to give ourselves the best shot at making that wish a reality, we really need to remain vigilant and consistent on our safeguards and prevention.

We remind our students about the coronavirus safety protocols, primarily monitoring symptoms masking, social distancing and hand washing.

We know that there are widely differing views regarding masking. However, the state has mandated that visitors to schools be strictly limited. And those who are on school campuses are required to wear a mask (over the nose, mouth, and chin).  This applies to parents picking up or dropping off a child or children. 

If, when dropping children off or picking them up, you exit your vehicle for any amount of time, you must wear a mask. Those who cannot wear a mask should remain in their car. If you need a mask, please ask a staff member, and we can get you one.

Beside wanting to continue having our students attending in person, we also want to not lose any student or student’s family member.
