Ada boys felled by state-ranked Lancers

ADA - The homestanding Ada baseball team fell 12-2 to league-leading Lincolnview Thursday evening in a Northwest Conference battle.
The Bulldogs fell to 6-11 and 1-6 in the NWC following the defeat. The fourth-ranked Lancers improved to 14-4 and 6-0 in the NWC with the win.
Lincolnview scored in all five iunnings of the run-rule shortened contest. They put five runs on the board in the top of the first frame and never were threatened.
The Lancers tallied a single run in each of the second, third and fourth frames. Ada plated its two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but Lincolnview tacked on four more scores in the top of the fifth to end it.
Jacob Morgan walked and scored one of the Ada runs. Jacob poling singled and scored the other Bulldog run in the fourth.
Jacob Sutherly drove in both Ada runs with a single. Aiden Boulanger added the other Bulldog hit.
Lincolnview out-hit Ada, 8-3.

Ada's league game at Paulding (13-6, 6-1 NWC) Thursday, April 29 was postponed due to rain and is rescheduled for Monday, May 10. The Panthers beat Crestview 5-2 Thursday.
The Bulldog boys visit Spencerville (3-15, 2-4 NWC) Friday, May 7 in a league makeup contest at 5:30 p.m.
