Ada spikers sunk by Commodores
The visiting Ada volleyball team started strong but lost in four tough sets at Perry Tuesday evening, August 31.
The Lady Bulldogs won the opening game yet lost the non-league bout 25-27, 25-19, 25-22, 25-14.
Ada dropped to 1-5 overall with the defeat. The Commodores improved to 3-2 after the win.
Junior Courtney Sumner hustled up 23 digs, hit eight kills, served five aces and added two blocks to lead Ada.
Sophomore setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 26 assists and came up with 14 digs. Junior Emilee Huffer knocked down seven kills and added a block. Senior Selena Jordan contributed six kills and one block.
Sophomore Daicy Robinson compiled eight kills and served up a pair of aces.
Freshman Lily Baumgartner knocked down five kills and made one block. Senior Lexi White came up with 18 digs.
The Ada junior varsity also fell to 1-5 with a two-set defeat.
On Saturday morning, Ada plays a tri-match at Arlington (0-3) with Hardin Northern (2-5).
