AE beats Ada spikers
Visiting Ada battled hard but was swept by backyard rival Allen East in a Northwest Conference volleyball clash Thursday evening, September 23.
The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 1-11 overall and 0-3 in the NWC with the 25-17, 25-9, 25-23 defeat.
The Lady Mustangs improved to 10-3 and 2-1 in league play with the win.
Ada junior Courtney Sumner hustled up 14 digs, served three aces and came up with two blocks.
Bulldog sophomore Daicy Robinson knocked down three kills and added three blocks. Sophomore Josie Phillips hustled up 10 digs.
Sophomore setter Autumn Andreasen passed out nine assists.
Sophomore Katie Sizemore hit two kills and served a pair of aces. Mariah King added a pair of kills.
The Bulldog reserves lost 2-0 to drop to 3-9.
Ada competes in the six-team Cory-Rawson Invitational Saturday to conclude a busy week. Temple Christian, Arlington, Arcadia and Vanlue will also compete in addition to the Bulldogs and host Cory.
