Delores Truman owned the Hickory Farms store at Lima Mall
Delores Truman, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:56 AM at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born on June 7, 1942 in Lima, Ohio to the late Hershel and Oma (Holbrook) Wright. On September 21, 1959 Delores married Thomas W. Truman and he survives in Lima.
Also surviving are her two daughters: Rhonda (James) Park of Ada and Kim (Brent) Young of Huntsville; four grandchildren: Jeremy Park, Garrett (Ben Douglas) Young, Justin Young and Kira (Jeramy) Furrow; three great grandchildren: Asher Furrow, Elliot Park and Cierra (Keane Dunn) Furrow; a brother, Hershel Douglas (MaryLou) Wright of Lima; and a sister, Carol (Mike) Duling of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Wright.
Delores was a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System. She previously worked at Ford Motor Credit and General Motors Credit. Delores owned the Hickory Farms Store at the Lima Mall from 1971-1986.
It was her wish to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
