Larry Ousley served in the U.S. Army
Larry Thurman Ousley, 72, passed away December 13, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System. Larry was born March 15, 1949 in Hippo, Kentucky to the late Raleigh and Trilbie (Lafferty) Ousley. On July 24, 1976 he married Nadine Leiber Ousley.
Larry graduated from Ada High School. He worked at Buckeye Concrete, Lima, Koneta Rubber, Wapakoneta and MidBus in Bluffton. Larry was a life member of the VFW Post #9381, Ada and also the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1533, Indian Lake. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Ousley of Beaverdam; three sisters, Donna (Arnold) Eldridge of Sidney, Ohio, Kathy (Karl) Austin of Lebanon, Virginia, Debbie (Steve) Butcher of Lima; a sister-in-law, Marian Redd of Jenera and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janis Gipson.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2021 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Pastor Michael Downey officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Beaverdam where military rites will be performed. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam-Richland Fire and Rescue.
