Butch Shrider worked for King Brothers Truck Center
Lewis “Butch” Shrider, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on April 5, 1944, in Harrod, Ohio to the late Donald and Helen (Iiames) Shrider. On August 30, 1964, Butch married Mary Lou Hunnaman, and they were married for fifty-seven years, she survives in Harrod.
Butch is also survived by his two daughters: Stephanie (Rusty) Winegardner of Harrod and Sheila (Tony) Lotz of Shawnee; four grandchildren: Courtney (Jason) McBride, Brett Winegardner, Amanda (Taylor) Zwiebel and Megan (Logan) Delgado; four great grandchildren: Jackson, Macie, Benton, and Isla; a brother, Bob Shrider of Lima; and beloved feline, Erma.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Lotz.
Butch retired from King Brothers Truck Center, where he worked as a parts salesman for twenty years. Butch and Mary Lou formerly owned Shrider’s Sohio and Garage for twenty-five years. He was a previous Bunny Boosters 4-H Club advisor. He was an avid fisherman and could often be found at Indian Lake every chance he got. He was a member of the Harrod Bass Fishing Club. Butch loved his family.
Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Crossroads Church of God, 775 S. Thayer Road, Lima, Ohio 45806.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8th at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrod Fire & Rescue.
