H.L. Mason worked for Sheller Globe
H.L. Mason, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 12:38 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on February 18, 1934, in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Leonard F. and Mary (Money) Mason. H.L. first married Alta Penland on August 28,1953 and she preceded him in death on May 11, 2002. H.L. later married Anzlas “Faye” Inmon in June 2006; she survives in Ada.
H.L. retired from Sheller Globe, Superior Coach Division. He was a charter member of the LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school superintendent, choir leader and Deacon.
Also surviving are three sons: James L. (Kealy) Mason of Lima, Keith Mason of LaFayette and Ellis (Erin) Mason of Lima; two daughters: Sue (Terry) Richards of LaFayette and Teresa (Steve) Hunsaker of LaFayette; three stepdaughters: Dovie (Michael) Dearth of Forest, Lynn (John) Benson-Mowery of Forest and Susan Inman of Ada; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren.
H.L. was preceded in death by five brothers: Joe, Bodie, Drew Tony and Orville Mason; five sisters: Mellie Fuson, Audrey Mason, Minnie Newport, Liddie Oliver and Rowena Neal; and a stepson, Elmer Inmon Jr.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022, at LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church, 8230 Anspach Road, Harrod, Ohio 45850 with Rev. Russ Stringfield and Rev. Denny Hunter officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church, 8230 Anspach Road, Harrod, Ohio 45850.
