Duane Helms Sr. worked for Ford Motor Co.
Duane L. Helms, Sr., age 64, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 9:25 p.m. at the Baptist Health, Louisville, KY.
He was born on December 13, 1957, in Lima, Ohio to Victor and Patricia (Binkley) Helms, who preceded him in death.
Duane is survived by his two children: Duane (Sarah) Helms, Jr. of Cox’s Creek, KY and Misty (Wade) Fearing of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and a sister: Kaylene Evans of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Thornton; and two sisters: Theresa and Monica Helms.
Duane worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima. He was an avid Harley-Davidson fan and loved to ride.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada. The family requests Harley-Davidson or casual attire for the service.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
