Snow Emergency announcements
With snowfall forecasts of 8-12" and potential blizzard conditions in our area on February 3-4, the Icon will post annoucements such as travel advisories and business and school closings.

Ada Police Department

As per Ada Codified Ordinance, the Ada Village Administrator and Ada Police Chief have declared a snow emergency in light of the amount of snow that has fallen and more urgently the amount of snow that is expected in the next 24 hours.
As a result of this emergency, no person shall park on a street that has been designated a Snow Route until our street crews have had the opportunity to clear the snow from the street and right of way.
Please note that once the route has been cleared vehicles may once again park in these locations as long as no additional snow is expected.
Vehicles parked in violation of this section will be towed at the expense of the owner. The registered owner of a vehicle parked in violation of this section is prima-facie liable. Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).
During a declared snow emergency, this section shall supersede all other parking regulations.

LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY - as of 10:00 a.m. February 4
Level 2 means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.

Ohio Northern University will be closed on Friday, Feb. 4.
Essential employees please report as scheduled or contact your supervisor.
A notice about opening the King Horn facility, libraries, other academic campus buildings and Starbucks will be sent at a later time. McIntosh Center and WoW will open for students during regular hours. COVID-19 testing in Stambaugh Hall is closed.
