James Blevins worked in the manufacturing industry
James Edward Blevins, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 7:25 a.m. at Lima Manor.
He was born on October 23, 1954, in Lima, Ohio to the late Harold James and Clara (Castle) Blevins.
James is survived by two sons: adopted son, Jason M. Bailey Blevins of Archbold, and Justin Richard Blevins of Lima; four grandchildren; two brothers: Harold David (Randi) Blevins of Woodstock, GA, and Rick J. (Patty) Blevins of Ada; a sister, Jeannie Blevins of Ada; and a sister-in-law, Deborah East-Blevins of Ada.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Blevins.
James worked in the manufacturing industry, working the line up to supervisor role, previously working for Buckeye Rubber to Ex-Cel. Throughout his career different plants sent him to Technical Colleges to learn procedures that were needed at their plant. James was a 1973 graduate of Ada High School, where he played football. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports. Major health issues led James to be at Lima Manor, where he passed.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Dr. Harold David Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
