Women's Golf 2nd of 5 teams at Adrian Spring Invitational

ONU freshman Amelia Burger (Centerville) finished as individual runner-up, leading the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a second place finish at the Adrian (Mich.) Spring Invitational on a windy Thursday, April 14 at the Hills of Lenawee Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (63-13 overall) finished with a 345, falling to Siena Heights (Mich.) by one stroke.
Burger finished second of 42 golfers with an 8-over par 80.
Sophomore Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) finished fourth with an 84.
Freshman Rhianna Firmstone (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) tied for 12th with an 89, senior Karlee Staugler (Saint Henry) tied for 19th with a 92 and freshman Rebekah Baumlein (Maineville/Kings) tied for 21st with a 93.
Adrian was third with a 349, Trine (Ind.) was fourth with a 356 and Baldwin Wallace was fifth with a 382.
The Polar Bears will return to action Friday when they host the Polar Bear Easter Classic at Colonial Golfers Club.
