Ada boys blanked at Grove

Playing Columbus Grove, the Ada baseball team lost 10-0 in a run-rule shortened Northwest Conference game Wednesday evening, April 20.
Ada fell to 4-6 overall and 0-3 in the NWC with the five-inning makeup defeat. Meanwhile, CG improved to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the NWC with the shutout win.
Levi Sousley pitched the first three innings for Ada, while junior Jacob Sutherly hurled the final two frames.
Grove broke open a scoreless game with two runs in the second inning, then added three in the third for a 5-0 lead. CG tacked on three runs in the fourth, and plated two more in the home fifth to invoke the 10-run rule.
Sutherly, Levi Green and Max Puerto each singled to provide the Ada hits. Kadin Phipps and Kaine Fisher both drew a walk.
Grove out-hit Ada, 6-3.

Ada is scheduled to entertain league foe Delphos Jefferson (3-6, 1-1 NWC) Thursday. Jefferson beat Elida 4-1 Wednesday.
