David L. Cole funeral announcement
David L. Cole, age 81, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 9:19 a.m. at Hardin Hills Health Center.
He was born on January 17, 1941 in Alger, Ohio to the late Edward and Thelma (Mayfield) Cole. On June 15, 1962 David married Clara E. Frasure and she preceded him in death in 2003. He then married Violet Scott and she passed away in December of 2021.
David and Clara were foster parents for over 20 years. He played many years of softball, had a great love of bluegrass, coon dogs and played a mean tambourine. He never knew a stranger, had a heart of gold and love for Jesus.
He is survived by his two sisters: Beverly Broker of Virginia Beach, VA, and Betty Gibson of Medaryville, IN; two step-daughters: Judy Campbell and Melody Caudill; and many nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew, Michele (Kenny) Daniels and Mike (LeNora) Prichard who helped take care of him in his last days.
David was preceded in death by two sisters: Dona Conley and Roxie McCarty.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2033 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Rev. David Schneer officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
