Bulldog boys nipped at Kenton

The visiting Ada High School baseball team lost a tough 6-4 battle at county rival Kenton in non-conference play Saturday.
Ada fell to 5-10 overall with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Wildcats improved to 3-10 with the win.
Kenton led 3-0 after three innings. Ada pulled within 3-2 with two scores in the top of the fourth frame. The Wildcats responded with three runs in the home fourth to rebuild the advantage to 6-2.
The Bulldogs plated two more runs in the top of the fifth, but could get no closer the rest of the way.
Ada junior Spencer Wall struck out seven Wildcats over a complete-game, six-inning effort. He also drew one walk.
Levi Green contributed three hits and two runs batted in to lead the eight-hit Bulldog offense. Zach Neiswander collected two hits, one RBI and scored a run.
Kadin Phipps walked and scored two runs. Jacob Sutherly reached base twice safely on a single and a walk.
Max Puerto coaxed a walk, while Kaine Fisher had an RBI hit.
