Be Seen with Green for mental health awareness

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties, also known as We Care People, urges area residents and organizations to "be seen with green" in support of mental health.

A Be Seen with Green campaign will take place the week of May 9-15. You are invited to show off your green  throughout the entire month of May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Ways of showing support include wearing green t-shirts and wristbands, tying a green ribbon to your home mailbox, putting green string lights on trees, and any other way that shows green to those around you. Businesses can light the outside of their space in green or have special green items for sale.

The board also welcomes photos of being seen with green. Share your photos in the discussion section of the Be Seen with Green Facebook event at bit.ly/BeSeenwithGreen. The board, also known as We Care People, will share photos on social media throughout May

During Mental Health Awareness Month, you can also find mental wellness tips on We Care People (Mental Health Board) on Facebook and Instagram or by  visiting www.wecarepeople.org
