The Ada High School tennis team defeated visiting Upper Sandusky 3-2 Monday, April 9, on a warm, sunny evening at the park courts.
The Bulldogs improved their record to 4-4 with the victory in the regular season finale.
Ada swept all three singles matches to register the win.
Ada senior Dexter Woods utilized a solid ground game and good serving to post a convincing 6-1, 6-3 win at first singles.
Junior Brendan Jameson triumphed in a three-setter at second singles.
Heady Ada junior Amelia Alexander also won handily 6-1, 6-2 at third singles by keeping the ball in play and rarely making errors.
"I'm just happy for the players to get a win, especially on Senior Night," said coach Tyler Christoff.
Ada lost booth doubles matches. The Bulldog tandem of junior Geddes Klingler and senior Isaac Williams fell 6-1, 6-3 at first doubles.
The Bulldog second doubles duo of senior Riley Ferguson and Nate Williams won their first set 6-2, but then lost the last two sets 6-3, 6-2.
Ada competes in the sectional tournament this weekend at Lima.
