Hardin Co. Freedom Fest seeks parade participants
The Hardin County Freedom Fest Committee is looking for groups, families, Scouts, 4-H clubs, and others who would like to participate in the 4th of July Parade in Kenton.
Line up will start at 9:00 a.m. on July 4 at the Mary Lou Johnson Library, 324 E. Columbus St.
The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. The parade will start at the Armory and turn left towards town on Main St., then turn left on Columbus Street ending at the Kenton Middle School.
“We want a great parade,” said Julie Zaring, parade Chairperson “If you have a group get a truck, decorated it, and have fun. I would love to see families celebrating the 4th by putting together a float and this route is short enough, you could decorate a golf cart.”
This parade will honor Bob McBride, who with his late wife Bonnie served many years on Freedom Celebration Committee.
To register, visit the Hardin County Freedom Fest’s Facebook page at Hardin Freedom Fest or contact Julie Zaring at 419-674-1358.
Also on the 4th of July, children's rides will be available at Homerun Memorial Park beginning in the afternoon; fireworks will be at approximately 10 p.m.
