Bulldogs fifth at McClain Family Hardin County Invitational

KENTON⎯The Ada High School golf team competed in the five-team McClain Family Hardin County Invitational Saturday at Memorial Park Golf Course in
Kenton.
Host Kenton won by three strokes over Riverdale (191-194). Hardin Northern finished third with 208 shots, followed by Ridgemont (223) and Ada (259).
Justin Thiel of HN and Kenton's Camden Plaugher shared match medalist honors as each posted a round of 45.
The Bulldogs were led by Geddes Klingler, who shot a 51. Jack Baumgartner carded a 61. Jayden Shaffer posted a 71, while Sam Crawford registered a score of 76.
Ada dropped to 1-17 with the result. Kenton improved to 7-6.
Ada (0-10 NWC) plays at Bluffton (9-3, 6-2 NWC) with two other teams on Tuesday, September 6. The Bulldogs then face Arlington at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Findlay Sept. 7.
