Raymond Charles Mason worked for National Group and was a farmer
Raymond Charles Mason, age 84, of Harrod, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on April 22, 1938, in Bath Township, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Marie (Wilkins) Mason. On April 27, 1957, Raymond married Jean I. Taber and she survives in Harrod.
Also surviving are his five children: Randall (Melissa) Mason of Harrod, Kerry (Kristi) Mason of Harrod, Corry Mason of Marysville, Sally (Rich) Moldas of Bellefontaine, and Penny (Jeff) Acheson of Ada; twenty grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; a brother, Dave (Betsy) Mason of Lima; and two sisters: Marilyn Goldsmith of Wapakoneta, and Betty Hutchison of Summerville, SC.
He was preceded in death by a grandson; and two brothers: Gene Mason and Neil Mason.
Raymond retired from the National Group. He was also a farmer. He served as a 4-H advisor for twenty-five years, and coached little league baseball in Harrod.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
