AHS volleyball swept by Bluffton; Sumner sets career digs mark

BLUFFTON--The visiting Ada High School varsity volleyball team lost in straight sets to local rival Bluffton Tuesday night, September 20, in Northwest Conference action.
The 25-16, 25-10, 25-16 loss dropped the Bulldog season record to 9-6 overall and 1-3 in NWC play. Bluffton improved to 9-2 and 2-0 in the NWC with the win.
Senior libero Courtney Sumner broke the Ada career record with 23 digs to reach 807. The previous record of 799 was held by Miranda Wills.
- Junior setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 16 assists.
- Junior Daicy Robinson knocked down seven kills and came up with one block.
- Sophomore Lily Baumgartner drilled six kills.
- Sumner added one ace to her 23 digs.
The Bulldog JV team won in three sets to improve to 11-3. Bluffton won the freshman match in three sets.
Ada hosts backyard rival Allen East (9-1, 2-0 NWC) Thursday, September
22. AE swept Delphos Jefferson Tuesday.
