The Ada wrestling team boasted one individual champion as the Bulldog matmen finished 13th of 14 teams at the Lincolnview Lancer Invitational Saturday.
Bulldog freshman Silas Riblet won the 108 lbs. bracket crown to pace Ada with 30 points. Riblet posted three pins and a 14-10 decision win to fashion a perfect 4-0 record on the day.
Ada junior Clayton McClain went 3-1 at 152 lbs. to finish second in his weight bracket. He lost 7-2 in the finals to Will Chiow of Liberty-Benton.
McClain scored 15.5 points with two decision wins (14-2, 11-5) and a technical fall (19-3) victory at the event.
Sophomore Landon Simon finished 2-1 with two pins at 192 lbs. to score eight points for Ada.
At 128 lbs., Bulldog sophomore Liam Vieira went 1-2 with a pin to score four points.
Sophomore Colton Cole finished 0-2 at 217 lbs.
Liberty-Benton outscored second-place Columbus Grove 215-160.5 to win the team title. Ada beat out Van Wert, 57.5 to 38 points, to finish 13th.
