Hope for Everhart raises funds for liver transplant expenses
KENTON--Glazed Over Kenton doughnut shop recently hosted a “Dine to Donate” event which raised $587 to benefit Hope for Everhart, a drive to assist Hardin County sheriff Keith Everhart with medical expenses associated with a late 2022 liver transplant.
After learning about Everhart’s prognosis and the significant costs after insurance posed by his operation, a group of community members formed the Hope for Everhart committee and set out to explore fundraising options.
Because Everhartis an elected official, the Committee is working with the Ohio Ethics Commission to ensure that all charitable donation rules are followed concerning public officers and that there are no conflicts of interest. "House of Prayer Pentecostal Church-Hope for Everhart Fund" donations will not be reported as political contributions.
The Hope for Everhart committee is a small group entrusted with accepting donations from community organizations and providing a vehicle to distribute payments to medical providers on behalf of Everhart.
