Joseph F. Campoli was ONU men's basketball and women's soccer coach
Joseph F. Campoli, age 80, of Ada, passed away at his residence on Friday, August 25, 2023.
He was born on January 30, 1943, in Nyack, New York to the late Girolamo and Angelina (Gatti) Campoli. On August 26, 1967, Joe married Margaret Cordeaux, she preceded him in death on January 25, 2010.
Joe is survived by his children: Joseph N. Campoli of Bradenton, FL, and Andrea Campoli of Ada; three grandchildren: Corbin (Taylor Kemmere) Crouse, Kyle Crouse and Jaden Crouse; a great granddaughter, Eva; and a sister, Marie Stone of Barnegat Light, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers: Nick Campoli and Anthony Campoli.
Joe retired from Ohio Northern University, Ada. He spent thirty years coaching men’s basketball, with thirteen years as the head coach. Joe also was the head women’s soccer coach and an assistant football coach at ONU. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Ada.
It was his wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
