Bulldog volleyball loss to Lincolnview

The visiting Ada High School varsity volleyball team lost to tough Northwest Conference foe Lincolnview in three sets Thursday evening, September 14.
The Bulldog record fell to 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the NWC after the 25-12, 25-21, 25-19 defeat.
The Lancers improved to 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the NWC with the victory.
Just a week into the league slate, only Crestview (7-1, 2-0 NWC) and Bluffton (11-2, 1-0) remain unbeaten in conference play.
“We played hard and had great hustle,” said Ada head coach Kyleigh Woodruff. “It was a hard-fought match with great saves.
“I am proud of us for working together as a team,” she added. “Lincolnview had tough hitters.”
Junior Tessa Griffith knocked down seven kills, made nine digs and came up with one block. She also served one ace.
Senior hitter Daicy Robinson hit two kills and made one block.
Sophomore middle Anna Conley drilled three kills and made one block.
Junior libero Jenna Bassitt mustered up 20 digs.
Ada senior setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 16 assists. She also came up with eight digs and one block. Freshman Brooklyn Andreasen added two kills.
Senior hitter Mariah King amassed four kills and eight digs.
The Ada reserves lost 2-0 to suffer their first defeat and fall to 10-1 this season.
Ada is 4-2 at home and 3-2 on the road this season.
The Bulldog girls participate in the Cory-Rawson Invitational tournament Saturday.
Vanlue (2-6), Arcadia (1-9), Holgate (2-5), North Baltimore (2-7), Temple Christian (1-11) and Van Buren (6-4) compete with Ada and the host Hornets (3-7) at the event.
The Bulldogs play Temple at 9 a.m. in the first round.
