Bulldog volleyball 2nd at C-R Invite
Andreasen passes 1,000-assist mark

The Ada High School volleyball team finished an impressive second at the eight-team Cory-Rawson Invitational tournament Saturday, September 16.
The Bulldogs won two of three matches to improve their record to 9-5 following their tournament runner-up finish.
In the first round, Ada beat Temple Christian easily 25-12, 25-8.
In the semifinals, the Bulldogs rallied to defeat Holgate 21-25, 25-20, 25-21. Senior setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 29 helpers to surpass the 1,000-assist barrier for her career in the match.
In the championship bout against Van Buren, Ada won the first set 25-23, but then ran out of gas and lost 25-15, 25-10.
Against TC, the versatile Andreasen passed out 11 assists, made two kills, mustered five digs, served two aces and came up with a block.
Junior Tessa Griffith knocked down three kills, dug up seven balls and dealt a pair of aces.
Senior hitter Daicy Robinson hit two kills. Sophomore middle Anna Conley also nailed a pair of kills.
Junior libero Jenna Bassitt came up with six digs.
In the comeback win over Holgate, senior hitter Mariah King knocked down nine kills.
Andreasen dished out 29 assists and hustled up 15 digs. Conley contributed nine kills and a block.
Bassitt mustered 32 digs. Griffith hustled up with 18 digs and served two aces. Junior Alyssa Madison and senior Josie Phillips each came up with 10 digs. Phillips added a pair of aces.
Robinson and freshman Dailah Preston added one block apiece.
In the championship match Andreasen came up with 13 digs, passed out 16 assists and hit three kills. Griffith hammered four kills and made 10 digs.
Bassitt hustled up 13 digs, and Phillips came up with 11 digs.
Robinson and Conley each smacked six kills, while King added four kills.
Ada (1-1 NWC) visits Bulldog league rival Columbus Grove (2-6, 1-1 NWC) Tuesday evening.
The Bulldog girls then host streaking local rival Bluffton (11-2, 1-0 NWC) Thursday in another key Northwest Conference clash. The Pirates are riding a nine-match win streak.
