Ada girls volleyball loses Bulldog battle at Grove

The Ada High School volleyball team lost a three-set match at Columbus Grove in Northwest Conference action Tuesday evening, September 19.
CG won the annual Bulldog spike battle by a 25-18, 25-23, 25-22 count.
The Ada Bulldogs fell to 9-6 overall and 1-2 in the NWC with the defeat.
The Grove Bulldogs improved to 3-6 overall and 2-1 in NWC play after the victory.
Junior Tessa Griffith drilled five kills, mustered 17 digs and served up three aces.
Freshman Dailah Preston hit six kills.
Senior hitter Daicy Robinson slammed six kills and made two blocks.
Senior setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 19 assists.
Junior libero Jenna Bassitt hustled up 21 digs. Senior defensive specialist Josie Phillips came up with 11 digs.
The Ada reserves beat Grove in straight sets.
The Bulldog girls host streaking local rival Bluffton (12-2, 2-0 NWC) Thursday in another key Northwest Conference clash.
The Pirates are riding a 10-match win streak after sweeping Delphos Jefferson Tuesday.
