Bulldog volleyball seeded 5th, to face rival USV
By Cort Reynolds
The Ada High School volleyball team was seeded fifth in their 11-team Div. IV sectional drawings Sunday.
The Bulldogs will play a familiar local foe in their first match, albeit a good trek from Hardin County.
Ada (12-9) will play seventh seed rival Upper Scioto Valley (7-9) on Thursday, October 19 at 7:15 p.m. in New Bremen.
Ada beat visiting USV 3-0 in a match that was closer than the score indicates Oct. 2.
The winner will likely face top seed New Bremen (16-4) Tuesday, Oct. 24 in the district semis at 6 p.m.
“I am happy to have the opportunity to play USV again for the sectional finals,” said Ada head coach Kyleigh Woodruff.
New Bremen got a first round bye, and will take on the October 17 winner of eighth seed Waynesfield (6-9) and nine seed Spencerville (4-11) in round two.
The district semifinals and finals (Oct. 26) will be held at Wapakoneta.
Marion Local (13-6) is seeded second and Minster (11-8) third in the lower half of the bracket. Perry (15-3) is seeded fourth.
