Rosemary Miller worked for Upper Scioto Valley Schools
Rosemary Miller, age 77, of Alger, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 9:28 p.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Rosemary was born on September 17, 1946 in Albion, Michigan to the late Rev. Seward and Mary (Hurt) Dyer. On January 1, 1993 Rosemary married Daniel Miller and he survives in Alger.
Also surviving are her son and three daughters: Gregory (Mary) Dye of Youngstown, Ursula (Jason) Minich of Alger, Stephanie Oglesbee of McGuffey and Crystal Dye of Ada; a step-son, Rodney (Shelly) Miller of Kenton; step-daughter, Deana (Chris) Lauck of Shawnee; sixteen grandchildren: Heather (Keith) Wilkerson, Mary (Austin) Eibling, Zach (Cheyenne) Winegardner, Aaron (Sarah) Oglesbee, Luke (Rachel) Oglesbee, Kaylee Huffer, Emilee Huffer, Donavin Minich, Katherine Dye, Nicholas Dye, Tyler Dye, Michael Dye, MacKenzie (Jonathan) Welde, Ethan Lauck, Tyler Lauck and Samantha Lauck; eleven great grandchildren: Fletcher Eibling, Waylon Eibling, Scarlett Wilkerson, Kash Wilkerson, Camila Winegardner, Savannah Oglesbee, Dallas Oglesbee, Leland Oglesbee, Weston Oglesbee, Estella Oglesbee and Lucille Oglesbee; and a sister, Ruth Dye (Ron) Nichols of Dola.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Chalmer Dyer, Mort Dyer, Ray Dyer and Frank Dyer; and three sisters: Ressie Robirds, Lucy Rowe and Ruby Holbrook.
Rosemary retired from Upper Scioto Valley Schools, where she worked as a bus driver and cook. She was a lifetime member of the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger. Rosemary loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and crochet. Her favorite past time was swinging on the front porch of her log cabin with the love of her life, Daniel.
Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, 2040 Township Road 120, Alger, Ohio 45812 with Pastor Fred Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Saturday, October 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.
