Dana Joe Hughes worked for Hughes Plumbing and Heating Inc.
Dana Joe "Skinner" Hughes, age 55, passed away peacefully at 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay with his family by his side.
Dana was born December 25, 1968, in Lima, OH, to Phillip A. and Diana L. (Wheeler) Hughes.
Dana was a 1987 graduate of Allen East High School / Apollo, where he graduated in the top of his class in welding. He proudly worked in the family business, Hughes Plumbing and Heating Inc. for many years. Dana enjoyed fishing, welding and joking around with his family and friends.
Dana is survived by his mom, Diana L. Hughes of Harrod; brother, Doug (Paula) Hughes of Harrod; sister, Dena (Duane) Hedrick of Lima, sister-in-law, Marcy Hughes of Harrod; nephews and niece, Chad Hughes, Chase (Lindsey) Hughes, Zachary (Danielle) Hughes, Nicole (Mike) Bailey, Christian (Nicki Lehsten) Hedrick, Cameron Hedrick and Caden Hedrick.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Phillip A. Hughes; brother, Allen L. Hughes; and grandparents, Weiser "Bud" and Vida Hughes, and Victor and Maxine Wheeler.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral and Cremation Services, 311 E. Lima Ave, Ada, OH 45810. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation with Pastor Gary Rummel officiating.
A private graveside service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, in Salem Westminster Cemetery with Pastor Ben Buzhardt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
