S. Johnson outbuilding destroyed by fire, sparks from campfire
By Paula Pyzik Scott
Embers in a backyard campfire were revitalized by windy conditions on Sunday, April 28, leading to the destruction of an outbuilding near the corner of S. Johnson St. and E. Lincoln Ave.
There were no injuries from the incident.
The fire damaged the siding of a S. Johnson home, as well as fencing, a tree and siding of the office of attorney Ronda Wyomic on E. Lincoln Ave.
Ada-Liberty Fire Chief Jay Epley told the Icon that cooking fires are allowed but that the fire was not attended at the time of the incident.
