Williams finishes tennis season at districts
By Cort Reynolds
PORT CLINTON – Ada junior Nathan Williams competed hard but lost in the first round of the Div. II district tournament Thursday at Port Clinton.
Williams lost 6-0, 6-0 to Lexington senior ace Ethan Remy to be eliminated from the 16-player draw.
“The match was still competitive despite the score,” Ada head coach Morgan Bass reported. “Nathan has been dealing with a shoulder injury, so his serves and just hitting the ball hard in general was compromised.”
A top-four finish at district advances a player or doubles team to the state tournament at Wooster.
