Robert Cornwell, Sr. worked for Lima City Schools
Robert Cornwell, Sr., age 77, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 10, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the late Kinnard and Lottie Cornwell. Robert was previously married to Charlene Zeisloft and she preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert Cornwell, Jr. of Ft. Wayne, IN, Diana (Dustin) Akers of Lima, Susan (James) Francis of Lima, and Melissa Cornwell of Lima: thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Sanders of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his two grandchildren: Cirra Cornwell and Scott Cornwell; and three sisters.
Robert retired from the Lima City Schools, where he worked as a janitor. He enjoyed fishing, country music, dancing and flirting with the ladies. He liked traveling, and going to Happy Daz for a tenderloin and milkshake. Robert especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time. It was his wish to be cremated.
