Letter: Council on Aging thanks Bibler, welcomes Wykes as new director
Bette Bibler, Executive Director of the Council on Aging, announced her retirement at the December 17, 2024 Board Meeting. Her retirement is effective as of December 27, 2024.
Bette has served the Agency since 2013 and as Executive Director since 2014. She said “it has been a privilege to serve” for these years. She thanks the clients, staff and Board for their support. Over these years she has always been committed to her work with the seniors and the agency and has touched many lives. Under her leadership the Council has strived to fulfill the mission statement of “improving the life for those 60 and over in Hardin County.”
The seniors, staff and Board Members held a pizza and cake reception in her honor on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Council on Aging. She was presented with a multitude of cards and several lovely bouquets of flowers in appreciation of her many years of service.
Nichole Wykes will take the reins as Executive Director effective December 28, 2024. She has served as Assistant Executive Director for the past three months.
Nichole is a Hardin County native and a Riverdale High School graduate. She holds a BS degree from The University of Findlay in Marketing and Human Resource Management. For the past twenty years she has served as an Office Manager at Brim’s Imports in Kenton.
She states she is “pleased to accept this new role in a private, nonprofit agency and looks forward to providing services to the seniors of Hardin County.”
The Council on Aging extends best wishes to Bette on her retirement and welcomes Nichole as Executive Director.
