Ohio Democratic Party Chair to speak in Kenton
KENTON __ On Saturday, February 15, the Hardin County Democratic Party will be holding its annual Presidents’ Day Luncheon at the Elks 157 Lodge, 157 E. Franklin Ave., Kenton, from 12:00-2:00 p.m.
The main speaker will be Elizabeth Walters, chair of the Ohio Democratic Party. Walters was elected to lead the party in January 2021. She also serves as a council member at-large with the Summit County Council.
Chair Walters is a lifetime Girl Scout and has been active with the organization as a member, employee or volunteer since the age of five. Liz serves on the Advisory Committee for the Summit Food Coalition, on the Advisory Council for the United Way of Summit County’s Financial Empowerment Centers and is an alumna of the American Council of Young Political Leaders. Liz earned a B.A. in History from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and her Masters in Public Administration from Cleveland State University.
The luncheon is $25 per person ($15 per student), with choice of entree of chicken, pork loin or vegetarian.
