Liberty Township park board report for February 2025
The Liberty Township Park District has provided details from its February 17 meeting and February 18 bid opening. (Minutes attached.)Among the evening's business:
- Raises for employees were approved.
- Daniel Klear made presentation on his Eagle Scout project, making a soccer kick ball wall to be placed behind diamond #2.
- Cupboards in the park office kitchen have been painted and plumbing has been updated.
- Discussion covered the need to update playground equipment, the new concession stand and replacement of a shelter house.
Present for Monday's meeting were Bob Szuch, President, Fred Reichert, Ken Wolke park manager and Mary Jane Lee Clerk. Neal Dumbaugh was absent.
On February 18, bids for replacing the lights at the football stadium were opened and approved. The bid went to Owens Electric from Marion, Ohio. Work will begin after the high school track season.
