We Care Conversations podcast debuts
Community resources for mental health and recovery, local stories and hope
LIMA __ The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board (MHRSB) of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties has launched a new podcast: We Care Conversations. Hosted by Cody Ridenour and Elisa Bradley, the monthly podcast features conversations with guests about mental health, recovery and the stigmas that keep people from getting help.
Ridenour is a media professional who’s worked with the MHRSB for over a decade, helping the public learn about services but approaching mental health with the curiosity of someone still learning.
Bradley is a longtime mental health professional in counseling and prevention based in Lima. She stays current on the latest mental health approaches and has experience supporting youth and families. Together, they explore local and national topics that matter to our community.
The first episode, “Mental Health and Recovery Resources in Our Communities,” features MHRSB Executive Director Tammie Colon. As our area's expert on mental health and addiction services, Tammie shares insights into local support, how the system works, and why it's okay to ask for help.
Episode two, “Healing Beyond the Fields: Rural Mental Health Unveiled,” explores rural communities' unique mental health challenges. Guest Jami Dellifield, a rural resident and mental health authority, shares powerful insight on resilience, access to care in remote areas, and what it means to support recovery outside the city limits.
“We Care Conversations gives people a way to learn about important topics and see that support is out there,” said Tammie Colon, Executive Director of MHRSB. “Sometimes we will hear from local voices, other times from experts outside our region. But every topic reflects something our community wants to know more about—or is struggling with. It’s another way to meet people where they are.”
New episodes of We Care Conversations will be released monthly. Find links to your preferred podcast service at wecarepeople.org/podcast/ including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
