UPDATED Ada Police Department assists U.S. Marshal's Service with April 21 arrest

On April 21, 2025, the Ada Police Department was requested to assist the United States Marshal's Service in serving an arrest warrant at 530 Liberty Street.
The immediate area was notified and evacuated during the incident as a precaution. The male, Craig Sutherly, was taken into custody without incident, and transported by the Marshal's Service.
UPDATE On April 23, the Lima News reported that in January 2025 Sutherly pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was sentenced to three years of supervised release. He is now in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service awaiting the resolution of his case in federal court.
