Sheriff's deputies pursue and arrest driver in felony investigation
Hardin County Sheriff's Office media release, April 25__On 04/24/25 at 4:29 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Co Rd 50 and Co Rd 15 as part of a felony investigation. The suspect vehicle, a 2006 Green Honda Ridgeline, was operated by Damon Micheal Kaiser of rural Roundhead, Ohio.
Deputies were able to positively identify Mr. Kaiser as the driver whom was known to have numerous felony warrants. Mr. Kaiser failed to comply with visual and audible signals displayed by Deputies and fled west into Allen County Ohio.
During a twelve-mile pursuit numerous moving violations were committed and the suspect attempted to ram pursuing Deputies. Deputies successfully completed a PIT maneuver (pursuit termination technique) on Reservoir Road in Allen County just prior to entering the City of Lima.
Mr. Kaiser resisted arrest but was successfully taken into custody. He was treated for minor injuries at Lima Memorial Hospital and was then taken to the Multi County Jail. Mr. Kaiser is being held on numerous felony warrants, felony drug trafficking charges, failure to comply (Felony), and other misdemeanor charges.
A passenger in the vehicle was interviewed on the scene and was later released.
On 04/24/2025 at 10:00 p.m. a residential search warrant was served at 1337 Township Road 180 Roundhead, Ohio. This is the reported address for Damon Kaiser. Suspected narcotics were found at the residence. Additional charges are pending.
The Hardin County Crime Task Force was assisted by the following agencies: Logan County Sheriff's Office, Allen County Sheriff's Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Johnny Apple Seed Park Rangers, Bath Township Fire Department, and Route 31 Towing.
