Bulldog boys beat school's 1980 relay record in 4 x 100

ADA - A 45-year old Bulldog varsity track record fell at the annual Ada Invitational meet Saturday in War Memorial Stadium.
The Bulldog 4x100 relay quartet of senior Trevor McGue, junior Gavin Oldfield, junior Kayleb Hickman and senior Logan Jolliff won their race in an Ada program-record time of 44.09 Saturday.
Their time shattered the mark of 44.5 set in 1980 by the foursome of Jon Fields, Chuck Castle, Doug Elliott and Kurt Massillo by .41.
The 1980 Ada quartet made it to the state championship meet in Columbus, where they finished ninth. Junior Jon Fields also came in eighth at the state meet in the 100-meter dash finals.
